Fits/holds very securely! Great straps.

Please note that the sticker adheres very well to furniture. I have bought them several times when remodeling my home and adding large bookshelves/closets. They work incredibly well. Our floors were uneven in a corner of the house where we wanted to put bookshelves. The bookshelves are made of solid wood and are very heavy. After several hours of fiddling with the adjustable legs on the bookshelves, we decided it would be foolish not to attach the straps no matter how we set them up. These…

Insert into post and tighten strap

Actually bought four of these for my bookshelves. Just use the rivet finder and find the rivet somewhere behind the bookshelf. The center would be better, but it doesn't matter. From the top of the bookshelf, go down a few inches and mark a spot exactly in the middle of the shelf. This means that the straps can be hidden. Take the washer, put it on the screw, then add the tape behind it (velcro facing you) and screw it into the mark you made on the wall earlier. Move the bookshelf against the…

After the devastating 1989 San Francisco Bay Area earthquake, earthquake experts began to insist that tall and/or heavy furniture be attached to wall studs.
