Review on 📷 Sekonic 401-208 Twin Mate Light Meter: Reliable Black/White Model by Lamar Marshall

Having used the Sekonic light meter for over 40 years I had high hopes for this very small, state of the art version. The supplied hot shoe mount is particularly practical for use with older cameras. Unfortunately had to go back. It feels like plastic garbage but I was willing to ignore it. The unit I received was clearly not working properly, the reading was about 4 levels low and yes I checked the battery is good and the correct voltage. The device probably had a defective reflected light/reflected light switch. It was clearly a new unit and not a return as the packaging was very fresh. One or more Revain reviewers received a faulty unit, but I ordered it anyway, hoping their quality control issues were behind us. Although Revain believes the device came with a battery, according to the warnings on the shipping box, this is not the case. Another problem was finding a suitable battery. The frustrating experience was alleviated by Revain's very easy return process. Clearly, the meter's primary purpose is to be accurate, so quality control issues cannot be justified.
