Review on πŸ”Œ Metra 70-2021 Amplifier Integration Harness for Chevrolet Impala/Monte Carlo 2000-2001 by Genene Locson

Revainrating 3 out of 5

I doubt the wiring even fits the cars it's supposedly made for.

Hmm. I'm not exactly sure how the thing is connected. I have a 2000 Impala and when I installed it the fader flipped on my stereo. I've searched a lot on the internet for a suggestion to connect the cables to a factory amp. What I came up with is the same wiring that everyone seems to use for their old Tahoes; Someone attached the wiring in the photo to the review. So I rewired the thing and lo and behold, the fader is correct now. I was also concerned that using this thing as originally connected would reverse the polarity of the speakers. It sounded bad. Despite all that, after installing this radio, my second radio sounds worse, not better. I don't plan on using it until I find a definitive reason why I should be using it. However, if your factory amp burned out and you're getting sound again, great.

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Sun-Sun
