been using this product for 20 years add a cup a month rinse and let it work overnight or if you don't pour anything down your septic tank cleaning supplies etc will kill a lot of bacteria in your tank so it's important to add this and let it work. I think it also helps break down the toilet paper. I drain my tank every 3 years and always see the bottom of the tank after draining which is GOOD. It's not cheap, but it doesn't replace your septic tank and drainage field either! Please note that after priming your aquarium, insert 3 cups to prime the system. If you are unsure of the condition of your reservoir, evacuate it first. This product will not remove deposits built up through years of abuse.
