I like the ease of rotation, it slides. The ribs are quite high so it's VERY solid in the horizontal/landscape position and has never slipped. It slipped a few times in portrait/portrait mode because the Tab A7 is so long. I like that closing the lid turns it off and protects the screen. I don't have a protective film on the screen, that's fine. The corners don't have additional plastic protection, but they are solid and feel solid. I'm not used to dropping it, so I didn't test them. I also like the cheeky elastic strap that keeps the lid in place.
