This juicer is wasting your time, money and fruit/vegetables!

This juicer was a complete flop. While it was quick and easy to use. The pulp waste was too wet. I wanted to make sure it wasn't user error, so I tried different sizes and shapes for the fruit and veg I loaded into the chute. On the first few runs, I noticed that putting in smaller pieces would inevitably result in them ending up in the bin partially chewed almost immediately. Then I start to let her out further and further, so that the direct pressure of the piston acts on her, almost pinning her to the blade. I would still have fairly large chunks of fruit or veg in the basket. I've also tried using carrots, celery, apples, cucumbers, beets, cactus, lettuce, kale, kale, kale, etc. Most of what I typed just ended up in the trash. Bits stuck in the blade always got very wet and ended up in the basket. The last two times I've used the juicer, I've squeezed the pulp through cheesecloth and was able to get quite a bit of juice out of it. I've attached a picture of the latest juice release. In trying to fill the pitcher, I squeezed out enough fruit and vegetable juice to keep the pitcher about 75 percent full. Then I dug into the basket and started pushing out the waste. I managed to squeeze another 2 cups of juice from the pulp. I've included a picture of the level of juice in the jug and what would have been thrown away if I hadn't come back for a second spin. I called Breville to see if they had any advice. Their support team never answered the phone. I made four phone calls. On two of those calls I was waiting for a representative who never answered. On the other two calls I took the opportunity to call them back. I left my phone number and they never called me back. A few years ago I had an old centrifugal juicer. I threw it away because it was too loud and shook when spinning. It made me feel like it was going to explode or rip my countertop apart. Shortly thereafter, I bought a masticatory juicer. The juice it produced was great. The pulp was always dry BUT I hated cutting the chunks into small pieces. It felt like a waste of time. I moved to this Breville because I wanted to be able to toss huge chunks down the chute to save time and energy. The fact is that the time you save by not slicing the vegetables will be spent squeezing the pulp. If you're not squeezing the pulp with this thing, then you're actually wasting money every time you make juice. The juicer is quite expensive. Knowing that you might get 60 percent of your product usage is too annoying for me to put up with. I returned to my juicer.
