Review on SteelSeries Arctis Pro + GameDAC Black Wired Gaming Headset - Certified Hi-Res Audio - Dedicated DAC and Amp - for PS5, PS4, and PC by Vanchay Chavdon ᠌

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Nothing ordinary, a normal product.

96 kHz, 24 bit - only in hi-res mode (not suitable for games, in my opinion)! In the rest, only - 48 kHz, 16 bits. With the standard settings of Windows 10, nothing can be configured, even the volume control does not work. Quiet, the gain mode does not help, the volume control on the GameDAC is less than 60-70% is meaningless. For those who use Windows Sonic or Dolby Atmos for headphones, forget about them (not supported). Spatial sound is nothing special, before that I used ROCCAT Kave 5.1 with Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty (due to problems with firewood I decided to change it), the sound quality is a little better and then almost not noticeable. Took for games. I regret the purchase. A few days later they became 1.5 times louder, 40 units of norms. Addition 03/24/2022: there is a problem with connecting via USB 3 (of all kinds) and with the TeamSpeak program: it is buggy, reboots, just cuts off and knocks out all connected ports. Through USB 2 (part of the functionality is lost) and Thunderbolt 4 (the functionality does not suffer) it works without problems. Tested on Asus P9X79-E WS and Asus ROG Maximus Z690 Hero

Pros
  • The sound is clear, without interference. The sound of the chat and the game can be adjusted separately.
Cons
  • The problem with firewood and friendship with USB 3, wrote in the TP "oak oak". Marketing, not worth the money. The wires are thin, very thin and constantly twisted.
