Nice though. on the subject of lighting and ceiling fans

I was looking for a modern fan, one without the nasty frills etc and one WITHOUT a backlight. This fan meets both requirements. I have to say that the installation instructions left a lot to be desired. This helps a lot if you already have a ceiling fan installed, otherwise you may need help. Another issue is that a major design flaw is that in order to change the direction of airflow, I have to climb a 10-foot ladder, remove the motor cover, find and press a switch. No problem in the dead of winter or hot summer as you are unlikely to change direction. It is annoying in autumn and spring, when cold days can sometimes alternate with warmer ones.
