I bought this set as a present for my mother. She didn't have extra steak/kitchen knives, just large cutlery. This set has become a great gift, the knives feel heavy and strong. They are also sharp and hold an edge well. And the countertop storage unit is perfect, not too big. We used them to slice turkey and ribs over the holidays and they worked great. They are on my wish list so I can replace my drawer with old knives.
