It is harmful to children who bite and teeth. I bought a similar (almost the same) toothbrush set from another seller but they were a few dollars cheaper so I figured the quality would be the same as the ones I bought before. I was very wrong. My son (19 months) still likes to put everything in his mouth. He put the previous ones we had in his mouth and bit the pin the whole time but they were fine. Nothing fell apart. But these! after 3 days of use the bristles fell off and the entire rubber part on the handle fell apart. It's good that I noticed this immediately and didn't let my son chew gum. My son could swallow pieces of rubber! I am so disappointed with the quality and the return of these.
