Review on Space-Saving Table Tennis Table By STIGA by Patrick Cooney

Good quality and design, factory could do a better job

I think this is a good quality table in overall quality, idea, and design, but some issues at the factory take away from it a bit. First, even though the box was pretty badly damaged upon delivery, the table seemed to survive pretty well. There are some marks on the edges and a corner, but nothing I'd consider a huge deal. The surface is in good shape most importantly, and it plays quite well. However, there are some misplaced drill holes on the bottom side of one table, as if they started drilling, realized they made a mistake, and just left the holes there. And there are places where the paint on the legs is marred, rough, and patchy. But those downsides aside, this is a solid table. The only drawback about the size is that it might make it more difficult for kids or beginners to hit their shots, but if you can get good on this table, you'll be that much better on a full size one. I actually like to lower the net slightly just to help compensate for its smaller size. But I'm glad I went with this table over the cheaper Joola midsize- I can see how the extra 4.5" of width on the Stiga really makes a difference, and from what I hear, this is a much more solidly constructed table. So overall, I'm quite pleased with it.
