Emits a horrible screech

Emits a horrible screech. I thought it would be great to be able to connect my Beats Studio 3 to my computer instead of using a headset. The idea sounded good until I connected the headphones to the adapter. I could hear the noise, but not without a hiss/squeak. I thought I could handle the noise but after a few minutes I got tired of it.
