Review on 🍷 Wine Ziz Black Screw-pull Lever Corkscrew Wine Bottle Opener Set: Bonus Foil Cutter & Spare Corkscrew Spiral, Heavy-Duty Metal Manual Cork Screw – Perfect Wine Gift Kit by Chris Hunt

Very attractive, lightweight

My previous rabbit ear corkscrew broke so I'm glad it was a suitable replacement. There's a lot to love about this corkscrew, including an extra foil knife, an extra spare corkscrew, and an attractive bronze-zinc alloy block style. It's also nice to have instructions as they seem to be missing from a lot of products these days. I found the box it comes in equally attractive, in black and gold, making it a pleasure to keep or give as a gift. This device is lightweight, significantly lighter than the previous corkscrew I had and had a similar shape. As far as functionality goes, I miss it a bit. Apparently the screw holding the corkscrew was a little loose so it started falling apart when I opened my first bottle of wine. I had to stop and re-tighten and then start again by uncorking the bottle. Then, to my chagrin, when I was starting over, the mechanism (i.e. the corkscrew) began to disengage from the cork before completely removing the cork from the bottle. So I had to unscrew the rest of the cork from the bottle with my hands to uncork it completely. I've had more success with future wine bottles, but I was hoping that a little more substance would fit the style. However, this is a very nice wine opener. The bronze look looks classy and is very easy to use. I find it a bit tricky how it works. Overall I would recommend it as it seems good value for money but it may take a little practice before you are 100% successful with it. Made in China.
