Review on πŸ” Optimized Search: Compact Folding Camp Stove Windscreen by HIGHROCK by Robert Dabney

Read reviews carefully; warning emptor

A few notes: 1. I bought this because I needed a screen to keep the canister warm in sub-zero temperatures. I made my own which works, but it's big and ghetto-like so I wanted something compact.2. This WILL NOT WORK for a typical 8 oz canister oven. The burner ends above the screen. My fault for not checking the dimensions. The reviewer has already pointed this out.3. It seems to be made for spirit burners like the Trangia.4 spirit stove. The pins stayed up while I wiggled and tapped them, so it's fine. The problem is that nothing but friction between the plates keeps the pins in place. I see them slipping out eventually. PRO: For the price, this seems like a fair product. Will it last a lifetime? Probably no. Does it work with some ovens? Yes. Does it work in strong winds? Of course not. It's awfully easy. Again, this makes it convenient for hiking. CONS: This doesn't work for me because I'm using a gas bottle. If I used my alcohol lamp I think it might help. Remember to return itcaveat emptor
