So I bought this cover for 2 reasons, elastic drawstring and color. Pros: 1. Stupid reason to buy because of the color, but now it goes very well with the decor in my sewing shop.2. The elastic tip and stopper are very good and allow you to really tighten the tip and give you a nice smooth taut surface to work with.3. Washable - I installed a very old tape dispenser on the lid only to find that the very old rubber grips on the dispenser left huge black marks on the lid. I tried hand washing it but it only made it worse. Then I put the cover in the washing machine on cold water, gentle cycle and it came out nice with no shrinkage.4. Fit - fits the ironing board as advertised, good when tightened but with some excess on the sides. CONS: 1. It is NOT slippery so fabric sticks to it making ironing difficult.2. I use it in my sewing workshop, so not only does the fabric stick to it, but loads of tiny scraps of thread as well. Now I have to clean it with a lint roller. Can someone make a nice pink with a slippery surface?
