Surprised how well they work!

I have them for use with the serial console on an Arduino microcontroller. Even though they're advertised at a full 480Mbps for USB 2.0, I was afraid that they might only be useful for a mouse and keyboard and that I might have trouble uploading firmware to my Arduino or reading the serial output. Well, I'm amazed at how well they work for my purpose - as if they didn't even exist! The only problem is that the instructions are difficult to understand. I mean they are pretty easy to understand but one confusing part is that both devices have power input but there is only one power adapter. The instructions show that the receiver requires power but do not mention why the transmitter has a power input. Is there an application where the transmitter needs to be powered and not the receiver? Or could there be a situation where both need to be powered? The instructions say nothing about it at all. Maybe I should experiment with that to find out. In any case, I'm looking forward to it. If you're an Arduino developer and need extra distance for a USB serial connection, use this - it works great.
