I have several braided belts. Below you can see both extremes - from 12 to 85-95 dollars. Pictured on the far left is a $75-$95 braided belt over a $12 braided belt below. The middle image shows the same belts with a higher waistband at the top. The less expensive belt has a duller (matte finish) "holder" and end tab, while the cheaper belt has a shinier appearance. I bought a less expensive belt to wear in the woods every morning; I bought a more expensive one to carry everywhere. Almost every morning I take my labs out into the woods and they get wet and dirty, which means I get wet and dirty. Since I have both tapes available, I really don't see a big difference. You can get a more expensive belt in a wider range of colors, but I'm a pretty simple guy so choosing tan, black, tan, etc. works for me. And I just don't need a wider range of colors like bright yellow, pink, light blue etc. It was easy and friendly to work with the company that sells the cheaper belt through Revain and the sizing issue. They really kept going. If I had to do it all over again I would just buy the cheaper Elastic-Braided, Fairwin braided belts. Due to my personal needs (dogs, mud, water, etc.) I was able to purchase two belts of each color to wear in the woods. Keep one in good condition for everyday use and the other for trips into the woods. But because of the price difference, I could buy at least six cheaper belts for the price of each more expensive belt. It's just that the difference isn't that big (color choices only), and at a price of 6 to 1, if one goes bad in the lab, get the other from spares and keep working.
