Super fun and hilarious

I bought this after watching the Ellen show. It’s that hilarious in real life, lol. I really like the timer thing, but it would be nice if it made a sound or something when it was finished - you have to really watch it to figure out when time is up. But better than a 5-second hour glass I guess. This is a great social game. The questions aren’t very hard (usually), but your brain freezes up, which is the hilarious part. This version isn’t good for kids. It’s not NSFW, but they don’t know what…

Damaged box in my review

Unhappy with the condition Of game box. Everything was new however the game box was ripped and taped together…not cool… Will have to give as gift this way because no time to get another. Not happy as product was not described as damaged box

Pros
  • Lots of laughs! Five seconds is fast, so be ready with furious answers.
Cons
  • Does not offer any incentives or rewards for winning

Love this game but I received wrong version

Waiting to hear from the seller about this item I received. I previously owned this game and absolutely love it, but I ordered it this time around because I wanted the version with 150 new fresh ideas. The box I received does not match the photo and looks like the old version. Thus, I’m hesitant to open the box and use it. I want the version listed here!Seller, can you replace it for me?

Pros
  • Got this on sale and it was worth it! Really challenges you and your friends to think fast
Cons
  • Does not promote critical thinking

Good game for a work setting

I was in charge of putting together a game plan for a monthly virtual work meeting. After researching games that can be played virtually, 5 second rule seemed like a good fit. My coworkers enjoyed playing this game, as it tested their critical thinking skills.

Pros
  • Wow, what a fun game to play.
Cons
  • May lead to arguments among players

Cute game, easy to play a short or long time.

This game was really cute and easy to learn. It is bright, cheery, and fun. My 8 year old and I played an entire round in under a half hour. I am of the opinion you could pack only the cards to use is as a game on the go as well. There are definitely challenging cards but after reading them, we were encouraged to watch more Disney movies or Google to learn more about Disney.

Pros
  • My kids love this game! Play it with their cousins at gatherings.
Cons
  • Too simple for advanced gamers

Super fun (and quick) family game!

Perfect if you want a game which the kids will be better at than the adults! Super fun and doesn’t take forever to play. Thanks for attention.

Pros
  • Challenging and fun
Cons
  • May not teach any new skills

Fun challenge even for adults!

I purchased this game for my 5, 9 and 12 year old kids and they all were able to play although my 5 year old did have some trouble with half the cards but we decreased her answers to two and gave her 10 seconds versus 5 to make it fair. This game was surprisingly more competitive than I thought as the pressure of only 5 seconds got the best of even the adults! Some answers we're up for interpretation but it made the game creative and entertaining.I'm giving it 4 stars versus 5 because we were…

  • Educational Value
Cons
  • May not offer much replayability

Needed some modification

Whoever invented this game is clearly into sports, especially at a college level. This is not something our family cares about in the least, but I purchased the game on sale, so with some handy Avery Brand labels, I created some questions that were suited to our family interests and would make this game more fun for our group. I'd say if you can purchase the game at a deep discount and have the means to alter the cards for some broader questions, it's well worth your time and great for some…

Pros
  • FAMILY-FRIENDLY—For ages 6 and up, perfect for the whole family!
Cons
  • May have safety concerns for younger children

Not so easy for kids

I was really excited to play this with my family. But I quickly learned many of the cards were hard for my 11 y.o. or folks that weren’t HUGE Disney fans. I still like the game, but I have to handpick cards before we play.

Pros
  • This was a gift to my brother and his family. They play it from time to time and seem to enjoy it.
Cons
  • May lead to boredom after multiple plays

5 Second Rule Game is Awesome 👏🏻

Wow! I am so happy I brought this game up to our Cousins Reunion! The game was a great ice breaker with all the Cousins! There were many that I never met or did not really know well! ! It was a hit with all the adults and kids! (Family friendly version) The game is very easy to play (especially when the adults had one too many to drink (not the kids!))We made up our own rules:Basically, one person is the judge per round. The judge picks a card from the box of cards and reads it aloud! The…

Pros
  • This game is so fun and easy to learn!

Can't be an average Disney fan for this one

We loved the regular 5 Second Rule game and always had fun playing it. Being huge Disney fans (we are talking about above average fan . the type that our friends come to us to ask for advice about the parks or turn to us for if trivia nights have a Disney category), we thought this would be a fun game to add to our collection. Boy, we gave up after 3 rounds . the questions that were asked were more than any average Disney fan would be able to answer. It was so hard and not fun at all…

Pros
  • 8 x 2 x 8 inches
Cons
  • May not be suitable for all family dynamics

Hours of family fun

This is a great game for any family game night, any age or for a gift. You have to name 3 things in whatever category that they give you in 5 seconds. The directions say that you can name 2 things instead of 3, if you are younger or don’t know that much about Disney. This is also a game that you can make your own rules to. My mom and sister came and played it with me and my boyfriend, and they were complaining that 5 seconds went by too fast, so we renamed it The Within A Reasonable Amount of…

Pros
  • Great game. Very easy to learn & fun to play
Cons
  • Dice may not roll properly

The Kids Inspired My Decision To Buy

We’d been gifted this game at our school age center and for a few days, it sat on the shelf until one day I decided to play the game because I’d never heard of it and wanted to see what it was all about. So I invited a few of the kids to join me; after the second or third round of playing, we had lots of kids standing around wanting to get in on the fun too. After playing it a while at the school age center, I decided to buy one to add to my home collection of games. When I went online to make…

Pros
  • fun game, easy to use, and our kids love getting ' trivia' questions while lining up
Cons
  • Pieces may be easily damaged or ruined

Kind of tough: my feedback

I bought the original version at a brick and mortar store then got home and read reviews how that could be a difficult for younger players. We have an 8 year old who is pretty sharp but I wanted it to be fun for him, not just bearable. So I ordered this. I will say this is still a tough game. Having to spit out even just 2 things in five seconds when you are the third person to go, without repeating, is tough regardless of age. His 16 and 13 year old sisters both said, I would hate to play the…

Pros
  • Purchased a smaller version in store. Ordered this one as a Christmas gift. Just as good. They loved it
Cons
  • Rules may be difficult to understand for younger children

Fun for the family in my review

Hope you know your Disney! My family & I have tons of fun playing this game. Great for older kids & adults. Thanks for attention!

Pros
  • We played as a family and it was fun for everyone
Cons
  • Not suitable for solitary play

Great gift best in my review

I bought this as a Christmas gift for my husband and 6 year old. They both love games (and I wanted one that I wouldn't mind playing daily for awhile-ha)This is super easy to learn and easy to play. It helps that the rules are established early on so people know how many of a certain item they are calling out. Easy to play and goes pretty quickly! Cards range from specific to very broad. Great choice for a larger group.

Pros
  • Liked that it’s user friendly and age appropriate for families including young children.
Cons
  • May be too similar to other board games

Fun and funny good for me

I really enjoyed playing this with my nephews and niece. We don’t always use the board but it seems to make everybody smile as the kids can say something hilarious under pressure

Pros
  • Fun for all ages. Great for some good laughs and fun.
Cons
  • May not be very engaging for long periods of time

Exciting as expected.

Kids love it. Adults also had fun. It’s a good family fun night activity beating everyone looking at their phones! Easy to play..

Pros
  • Easy to play.
Cons
  • Pieces may be easily lost

Favorite Family Game

Easy. Fun. For everyone. Some of the questions are from decades that younger people can't relate to. We remove or skip them.

Pros
  • We had a lot of fun playing it. It's very portable. We even took it on a cruise!
Cons
  • May not appeal to children who are shy or introverted
