It's fun and looks great!

I love to draw simple (paper) mandalas the set caught my eye. And I'm very satisfied! I would buy them again in a heartbeat. Remember that you don't have to use all colors. Pink and purple are too loud for me so I created some custom blends to get enough different colors like adding some pink, blue and yellow to a puddle of green to turn it into a more brown, more natural green that fits my decor better than mint. green it started like. Or mixing green and blue 50:50 gives aquamarine. A bit of pink in yellow makes it a softer, richer shade of gold. I painted from these puddles with a toothpick because I don't have paintbrushes, but I suspect you'll need a very small, short, stiff, single-tipped paintbrush. And if you want to make a monochrome drawing and just leave some parts of the pattern blank for contrast, that looks great too! I filled mine completely for maximum bird safety, but if you're just decorating, um, the monochrome color is a lot tastier. I had to take a picture of it when it was all blue before filling it in, sorry. But yeah, don't throw it away just because you don't like the color of the kit. There are plenty of "inks" to color each mandala the same color or spend a bunch trying custom blends or whatever. I even washed and redid one, and still haven't used up any of my "ink" bottles. By the way, I have very poor health and believe me, this material is not annoying at all. It appears to be just PVA glue with added dye. NO SMOKE. The vinyl smelled a little when I first printed it, but the smell was gone after an hour. So rest assured it's safe for children and infirm adults too, or if you have birds in the house or whatever. I was worried it might be smelly nail polish or something, so I was relieved. The colors will look different before and after the glue has dried, so scribble on the edges of a panel or two and let them dry to get an idea of what the colors will look like before making the mandalas. Peel it off and hold it up to the light to see how pale a thin layer looks and how dark a thick layer looks, so you know what to aim for. The glue in my kit was too thin (they seem to vary a lot) so I had to learn to hold the tubes almost on their sides because tilting too much would cause the glue to flow out too thick . So, by drawing on a piece of paper for a while, you can choose the technique that suits your preferences and the viscosity of the glue. Another tip: white areas where you didn't make the line fully colored stand out very well in the sun, so it's best to stay on the side. Flood your lines and don't be shy. And have a toothpick ready to pull the glue all the way into tight corners where the nozzle won't fit. I've found dotting the center of the arrow all the way around and then around again and using a toothpick to pull the glue into the corners is very effective on some borders that are essentially rows of squares or triangles. It's a lot of fun when you have a rhythm like that! You can soak them and rub a little with a paper towel and remove most of the glue to start over if needed. I didn't find the black lines to rub off at all, when I did it seemed very strong.
