Depends on your likes, dislikes and uses

I wanted to add a blue night light to the living room and rear sunbed. I've always liked blue Christmas lights etc. But the light they give off is very, very bright. Too bright. We sleep with the bedroom door open and the bright light from the living room keeps us awake. Only one of them illuminates the whole room. The more you add, the brighter. They would work well maybe for a baby's room, nursery or pets, yes; I could imagine this or any other application where you need bright ambient light. They might be good for a movie night in the living room or maybe when you're out of town to deter intruders, but not for adult sleepovers. at least not in my house. I agree with other reviews that they kind of turn off when there is enough light in the room. It looks weird with the blue LED glowing when there should be a lot of light. The light can be almost blinding when viewed directly in a dark room. I have these guitar pedals too. Every guitarist can understand that. View of a dazzling pedal on a dark stage. I ended up shutting down all but one because of all this and complaints from my spouse. The last remaining 1 of 4 is in the master bathroom (see image). It works well there because it can illuminate the room just enough to do what you need without turning on the main white light, and that room faces the sun during the day to turn it off. It also works well for visiting guests and won't wake anyone there. However, I had to turn it upside down because of its elongated shape.
