This appears to be a really nice well made collar and reviewers report it is high quality stainless steel which when leaving is not black spot on the light coat of a dog. However, if you order S/M, the size jumps to 1" instead of the 3/4" that comes in the small size. I didn't notice this before submitting the order and was so disappointed because not only is the 1 inch width too wide for my small but not tiny dog, but the buckle is even wider so it covers his entire neck. Maybe it would be okay if I was a strong hound or a basset hound with a thick neck, but that's not the case. So he comes back and warns Emptor! I wish they had better sizing options. UPDATE: When I expressed my dissatisfaction and wanted to return the product, the company contacted me and offered me another collar that was the smaller size I wanted and told us to donate the first one. Pretty impressive customer service! UPDATE II: Unfortunately Black The replacement collar worked great for a while, but it didn't have the non-blackening quality that drew me to the original collar for sale on this site in the first place. Before long, our white dog had an ugly gray patch on it his neck and his chest.The only way the company could know about it because they made sure we were happy again. So they stop offering a replacement on their products again. SO I would recommend buying Mighty Paw because they support their customers!
