This is a gentle way to teach your dog not to pull when walking. It's well made and came with a lovely leaflet explaining how to train your dog to walk on a leash (there were some tips I'd never heard of). The only thing I would like is additional colors, but both options are good for visibility. I see they also make plastic instead of metal which could be a good option for those with small dogs.

I've tried all the Mighty Paw Martingale collars and this is by far the most durable. This would be great for a larger or stronger dog. The colors are vibrant making my black pup easy to spot even in low light. The chain is thick and might be a little heavy for a small dog, but that's a minor downside. It is carefully thought out and built to last. It definitely withstands outdoor activities well, there are no complaints and easy to clean!

Used product for my medium sized dog. I like the idea of control the collar will provide. I thought the collar was a bit over the dog's size/weight, it was designed for a neck size under 14 inches. My dog is only 18# with a 14 inch neck. The width of the material, buckles and chains are too big for this neck size. Being on the larger end of the size resulted in less efficient use of the chain. Compared to three other martingale collars for my 16" Shepherd mix. The other two collars were too big even though I ordered the right size according to their sizing chart and one with a black metal buckle on the left has black marks in the white box it came in so I didn't even try collar on my dog. I have purchased many martingale collars over the years but this is the best price I have seen. It's much stronger than I expected with a nice wide nylon collar of a nice color attached to a thick chunky chain. This appears to be a really nice well made collar and reviewers report it is high quality stainless steel which when leaving is not black spot on the light coat of a dog. However, if you order S/M, the size jumps to 1" instead of the 3/4" that comes in the small size.
