I will update this review when I have more radio experience but my first impressions are very positive. This is a great price given the sheer amount of useful features. However, it's missing a few notable features, most notably SSB, in case that matters. There is also no connection for an external antenna. Other functions such as B. Squelch, are divided with the number keys and are difficult to remember without consulting the (detailed) manual.* AM, FM and short wave.* Digital station search with easy to set fine tuning. use.* An amazingly efficient bandwidth selector. Strong AM stations sound surprisingly good across a variety of settings.* It can charge batteries. Or turn off the charge switch to use non-rechargeable batteries. * Including power supply. * The kit includes a pretty case with faux leather lining. * The telescopic antenna is approximately 2 feet long. * FM and AM work well. I'm not sure about SW yet. I need a catalog and I need to compare with the best radios.* The mono speaker sound quality is good at low volume. At higher volumes, the 1 watt amplifier starts clipping. FM stereo is available when using headphones.
