Review on KeylessOption Keyless Entry Remote Combo Interior Accessories by Gary Zielinski

Great inexpensive solution to an expensive problem

Once you figure out how to get the old circuit board out of the broken key (which is the hardest part of the repair), this is the BEST route I can take. I've seen these keys ward off a costly car industry scam. After I cut out the old circuit board and installed it into the new key shell, it matched the keyless entry buttons perfectly, aligned, and worked smoothly. The next step was to find someone to carve the key, the other person said they went to the house depot and had it carved for free. Unfortunately, my home warehouse has these machines and I couldn't cut the double-sided transponder key, so my next stop was the Ace hardware. They didn't cut keys from internet so my next stop was a local locksmith who cut the key for $5 (considering the cost the dealer charges for one of these keys I was more than happy shelling out a $5 bill!) . Aside from cutting out the old circuit board and finding a handyman to cut the key (which really has nothing to do with the value or durability of this product), this spare key is a great solution to a costly problem. I've been using it for a few weeks and it's just as good as the factory key and I'll be buying a second one to fix another broken factory key.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • So-so
