Great inexpensive option for a broken plastic part of the key

Great option. The dealer wanted $300 for a replacement key, Ace replaced it for $200. After buying two of these I had to call everyone but found a place to cut keys for $6 a key. My original keys fell apart so badly that it was pretty easy to pull the circuit board out. It's a little difficult to put it in the new case and get the battery to touch the terminals. But some tape to hold it in place while I snap the lid on, and now I have two new working keys for $14 each. Unless your current…

Read description before buying

Needed this because my wife's key for her 2013 Ford Edge fell apart, the metal part of the key separated from the plastic housing and shell. She held out for about a year until it finally became more difficult to start the car with it and since she didn't know where the spare key was I knew it would be expensive to get a replacement at the dealer so I started looking around other options. Great inexpensive solution to an expensive problem

Once you figure out how to get the old circuit board out of the broken key (which is the hardest part of the repair), this is the BEST route I can take. I've seen these keys ward off a costly car industry scam. After I cut out the old circuit board and installed it into the new key shell, it matched the keyless entry buttons perfectly, aligned, and worked smoothly. The next step was to find someone to carve the key, the other person said they went to the house depot and had it carved for free…
