Review on πŸ”Œ Cable Matters 2 Pack Adapter Degree: Maximize Connectivity with Effortless Flexibility by Jeff Payne

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Materials are of acceptable quality, but poor design leads to a defect.

These 90 degree connectors are great if you have a connector near a wall as they allow you to connect the cable at an angle so the cable doesn't stick out straight removed from the component. Unfortunately, these connectors are very poorly constructed, which does not provide a reliable connection of the signal from the plug to the socket. When I received the item I was pleased with the look as it is gold plated and the physical design was just what I needed to connect the DAC to a pair of powered speakers placed close to the wall. When I plugged it in and connected a cable to it, I got a very weak signal from one channel while the other channel sounded fine. I've been playing around with the connectors, swapping cables and adapters and found that one of them is definitely not working properly. threads pushed straight into the main body) and I found that there was no cable connecting the male connector to the B-pillar female connector. Instead, it's just a plug that "makes contact" with an outlet. No solder, no twisted wire, just a very careful point of contact that will surely degrade the signal over time on a working connector, if it hasn't already broken on one. I put the pieces together, but I won't be using that now, and I've already replaced it with a much better joint. This is not a reflection on the seller, as I received the goods quickly, just pushed into the main body) and I found that there was no cable connecting the plug to the B-pillar socket.
