Review on Durable Duotone Silicone Sleeve Cover for Apple Pencil 🍊 2nd Gen & iPad Pro 11/12.9 2018 - Orange/Red by AHASTYLE by Art Porras

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Prevents wireless charging, but still ok

Update: Oops! It's actually the increased distance from stylus to charging surface created by the *combination* of this grip case and my case (Zugu's Muse Case) that prevents wireless charging. I can't blame AhaStyle for their grip cover only being compatible with the official Apple case. Just keep this in mind when choosing a scabbard (Zugu is still great) and whether or not you get a grip scabbard at all. --------------- Original Rating: Would give 3.5 stars if I could. It does everything you really need and very cheap. Pros: - The only really cheap accessory you'll ever buy for an iPad Pro. - Low profile. - Definitely helps you get a better grip on the pen's slippery surface. .- Fairly easy to remove.- Should add some abrasion protection. Cons: - Prevents wireless charging. That's the only notable downside. My first instinct was to initiate a return and leave a bad review. But the truth is, since the pencil has decent battery life and charges quickly, and the lid is fairly easy to remove, it's not that hard to just pop it off every now and then and give the pencil a little charge. For the price I find it quite comfortable. There is a small but noticeable standing seam on the outside which is manufacturing related. The question is not in the functionality, but in a super expensive accessory for a super expensive device, that will annoy some users. - Difficult to say, but I suspect that the magnetic grip is somewhat reduced by the case. This can only be an inherent disadvantage of using covers and I think it's worth the trade-offs.
