I bought one of the pain free pillows for $50. Lasted 5 months and stopped. Having seen on the internet that they are guaranteed, I contacted them several times and just seemed to go in circles with them asking for the same information over and over again. So I saw this one for less than half the price and ordered it. It works just as well as a pillow with no pain. It could be just a little smaller but I'm not a tall person. For the price, if they only run 5-6 months, $20 is a lot easier to swallow! Both use a D-cell battery and have the same option to purchase a plug-in transformer if required. I prefer to drive with a battery than sitting next to a socket. I agree with another review that suggested making something rechargeable.
