Not soft - rather medium/hard

I wouldn't call this toothbrush "super soft" at all (as stated in the description). That's actually more of a medium/medium level of hardness. There was a small amount when I poked in but it didn't hurt my gums or make them bleed like some others have said. still hurts). My dentist recommends soft bristles to protect tooth enamel, so I always buy soft bristles. so that the hardness of these bristles has only one advantage for me; They last a bit longer as I like to spray the nozzle with hydrogen peroxide after each use to minimize bacteria build-up. The peroxide makes the bristles a little softer than I like when using a soft bristled toothbrush, so these brushes may get the desired softness after repeated applications of the peroxide. I haven't had any bristle loss either, which is another plus, as is the price, which allows you to change your brush more often (every month instead of every 3 months). However, I think I'll try other brands until I find the softness I need because with so much gum recession and bone loss, I can't risk causing this anymore. it is too complicated.
