If you're looking for a cheap and easy-to-carry hat, this visor might be for you. I have found that when rolled up the visor remains flexible and crumpled. So if you want it to be travel-friendly, you don't get a pretty hat when you roll it up. The edge provides good shade, but I would have liked the visor to be a bit stiffer. One issue I've found is that the class holding the visor in place is gold metal inserts. Not only do I find it unsightly, but since I only wear these visors in the sun (pool, park) these metal parts can get hot and burn you in extreme weather. This hat may suit some people, but personally I didn't care. I don't feel like rolling up the visor much, especially when the rolled up visor doesn't look very attractive.
