I bought this food for my mother in law's spoiled morbidly obese dog. Baby (yes the dog's name is Baby [rolls eyes]) LOTS of leftovers from the table and has buns to prove it. Every time my mother-in-law wants to put baby on a diet, she gives in because "she doesn't eat". My well-intentioned (and somewhat clueless) MIL keeps giving out baby table scraps that she thinks are "small". Trying to explain that for a dog who is said to weigh 13 pounds, an entire pizza crust is too much food to waste. She needs to take better care of her dog. I told her if baby is really hungry she will eat. She was on a scientific diet recommended by a veterinarian. I'm sure Science Diet is a great food, but if the dog doesn't eat it immediately after it's put on the plate, MIL isn't waiting for the dog to eat the dog food. Bologna and cheese will come out. The Blue Buffalo got great reviews and I decided I wanted to try teaching an old dog (my MIL) a new trick; that is, how to take good care of your dog. She was so excited and excited that she called and told me that baby LOVES food and will gobble it up as soon as it is put in front of her. I made sure that she only feeds the amount for the desired weight and not the current weight. She says she is. In addition to this dog food, I bought small training treats. No more than four large treats per ride from the outside. I really hope this is a game changer for my cute chubby MIL buddy.
