I love this dechlorinator for my hermit crabs! Although the front of the bottle says shrimp and crab, it is suitable for all crustaceans (shrimp and hermit crab, of course). Most types of fish dechlorination devices are safe for hermit crabs, but not all cover everything. It covers all bases, neutralizes chlorine, ammonia, chloramines and heavy metals, providing useful micronutrients that contribute to the proper health and color of various crustaceans. I feel comfortable knowing that my hermits are getting safe drinking water with this dechlorinator. It's not a very big bottle, 4 oz, but you only need 5 ml per 1 gallon of water. It's very convenient to measure as the blue cap is also a measuring cup with markings you need: 5ml, 10ml and 15ml. Remember to shake well before each use, which brings me to my only issue. When I shake the bottle some liquid comes out of the slot on the cap where you push to open it. So I always have to hold a paper towel over it while shaking the bottle. It doesn't matter much, but every time I shake it I lose some dechlorinator. It's not an issue that ruins the product so I definitely give it 5 stars and will continue to buy and recommend to others!
