I bought this m.2 drive as one of my first attempts at using an SSD in my desktop. I was also thinking of a stock sata SSD when I bought this stick to upgrade my laptop and also both computers had stock sata hard drives. The m.2 stick runs a little faster. The difference in price from a $28 SATA SSD to a $36 m.2 SSD is worth it. Now the problem I had as a newbie with m.2 drives was configuring this. At first I didn't see the drive in Windows Explorer. I saw it in the bios. So I had to format the flash drive first. I wanted to clone my spinning hard drive with software. But found that installing Windows 10 and reformatting all my drives was the best solution for me. However, the speed boost is worth it.
