Review on πŸ”₯ Brod & Taylor Foldable Proofer and Slow Cooker by Brenda Joiner

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The perfect addition to the bakery kitchen!

For so many years I have looked at this product and thought it would be a good addition to my culinary needs. I bake a lot of bread, and although my oven has a proofing mode, when I'm making an appetizer (be it a culture or a biscuit), it often needs to be proofed for up to 12 hours. I don't like the idea of leaving the gas stove on for so long or overnight, even on a low setting. That's the reason I finally decided to buy this one. I'm so glad I did. I've been using it at least once a week since I received it. I was surprised to see that this also doubles as a slow cooker (yes I know it says right there in the title). And a yogurt maker. If I had known all this years ago I could have saved some money on buying separate slow cookers and yogurt makers just by buying this. The installation is very easy. It is so easy. I keep mine folded up with the lid closed when not in use on the small desk I have in my kitchen, but storing it in a closet shouldn't be a problem if you have one deep enough. It's quite big. I think as with most large appliances, if you have a big enough kitchen or countertop for it, it's best to leave it somewhere. Probably most people don't. It's quite expensive, but I think it's worth it if it works for many years. It's such a simple design that I have no reason to think it could break, even though it has an electronic control panel where you can turn it on and off and set the temperature. I registered mine with Brod & Taylor and they extended the one year warranty to three years. Their online site also has helpful information on this and other products they sell, as well as recipes. So if you buy them, be sure to register them. I'm glad I finally bought it and would recommend it especially to bakers.
