Not fully compatible with USB3

I'm an IT professional with 25 years of experience and have developed over 300 solutions. I have an older motherboard with a newer case and a modern front panel connector that my board doesn't have a connector for. This card works "somehow". Depending on what device I plug in, it either works well or works intermittently with the device being unplugged and plugged back in all the time. My Corsair 32GB USB 3.0 Flash Voyager works great. I have an external USB 3.0 card reader that I use for micro SD cards and it is intermittently unusable when plugged into this card, but works fine when plugged into the back of the motherboard USB 3.0. I also tried the HD webcam with identical results. I tried a different connector since this card has two. The connector on the circuit board is very difficult to separate. My first attempt resulted in the pen cover detaching from the card; I was able to fix it. The second connector gave the same results. I've tried to identify the manufacturer of the card, but it's "Made in China" so it doesn't appeal to anyone. I throw it in the airlock.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Not bad, but...
