I have been wearing compression stockings for lymphedema for many years - I have always worn 20-30mmHg. Art. either XL or 2x, depending on the brand. In March I had shoulder surgery and my legs started to swell more. Socks that no longer fit me cut into my ankles and calves, making the problem worse. I don't know how many brands/sizes/compressions I've tried hoping to find something that minimizes swelling and doesn't cut off blood flow, which only makes the problem worse. I ordered a pair of 3X's from this brand but they still don't fit. 4X - success! The socks are super comfortable, if a bit long, but quite functional. They control the tumor well. I hand washed them and hung them to dry as some reviews said they fall apart after washing. You really shouldn't wash your compression stockings in the washing machine. If they don't hold up to hand washing I'll update my review but they seem very well made.
