What happened to Cetaphil? Citrus & Peppermint Essential Oils

What Happened to Cetaphil? As someone with sensitive, rosacea- and acne-prone skin, I've always associated your skincare routine with no frills, no essential oils, fillers or fragrances. Synonymous with simplicity and softness, they were suitable for all users, especially those with very sensitive skin. Maybe I've neglected you for too long, missed you for the newest, the newest. But I thought you'd always be there as a backup in case another brand falls victim to the siren song of having to "keep up with the Joneses" in skincare, including adding weird and unnecessary additions to "enhance" the experience, not just that Its a good product. Then I will return to your soft, simple embrace. Now you've gone to the dark side by playing with citrus and peppermint essential oils. Why? *I ask as I kneel and read your ingredient list.* As much as I love the look of this water-gel-like, clear, slightly runny Healthy Radiance Antioxidant-C Serum; With its excellent spreadability, absorbency and non-greasy semi-matte finish, I can't use it. The above formulations are not suitable for my mature, reactive, acne-prone skin. The essential oils you are using are giving me irritation and flare-ups. 😭 If you could make such a version without additives, I would be happy. As it is, I can't. You say you don't smell, but I smell a faint citrus scent that you dare spoil. Farewell, Cetaphilus. I hope one day you return to the light with your uncomplicated, seemingly boring, but universally useful ways.
