I just received the laptop in the mail yesterday and may update my review over time. First of all, I didn't buy this laptop because I thought it would last. long time. I just needed a laptop that would last me through my last two years of college; I learn best by typing in real time, and the laptop is also useful for the campus office work I do. The laptop that helped me get through my first two years, the Surface Pro 3 2-in-1, died a slow and painful death with five minutes of battery life and the inability to support the Chrome browser for more than three seconds . Of course I survived, but it was getting annoying. So far I've had two problems with this laptop: 1) Defective charger. It looks like it's just a manufacturing issue where one of the pins connecting the power adapter wasn't punched out properly so I couldn't charge it. However, it is very easy to fix. Since this laptop comes with a 1 year warranty/support I was able to call the company and get a new one with no problem. (EDIT: I returned the charger in a very reasonable time, so this is no longer an issue. Most likely an individual customer issue.) 2) Overheating. I don't think I use powerful computers much, but it howls a little louder than I'd like to hear from a refurbished laptop. Nothing bad so far and I'll do some research to make sure it's not a problem for me. Otherwise, I'm just thrilled with this laptop! The keyboard is smooth and comfortable to type on (suitable for someone like me with extremely fast typing speeds), the laptop is light, there's an easy way to turn off Cortana (which in my experience takes a lot of power from a Windows 10 PC). ) and installation is EXTREMELY easy if you already have a profile through Windows/Outlook. I mainly bought a laptop for college, work and personal use and this laptop is a good cheap way to do that. Also EXTREMELY helpful customer service. EDIT: It's been almost six months since I bought this laptop and it still works great! I'll give it four stars because it's still prone to overheating (especially when I'm trying to play a game from Steam, so I usually avoid it) and the battery life isn't the best. I can last about four hours on a single charge on average, but that's not a problem for me as I'm always plugged in at work and none of my activities last longer than three hours. It still works just as fast as the day I received it. Overall a good laptop for surfing the web and programs like Discord and Skype.
