When I purchased this set on a lightning deal, my husband would not stop talking about how flimsy it looked on the picture and told me that it would soon be trash. Once I got it, it took me about 3 months to open the box because I felt bad about my purchase (we've had several bad experiences with "deals"). Once we closed on our country home, we did not have much furniture at all to take there, so I placed this sitting set (still on the box) on the back of the truck. Assembly took some 20 minutes if so. The seats are plastic but sturdy. They are somewhat nice looking for plastic chairs and, best of all, these are comfortable. They sit a bit low but have an ergonomic shape. Yes, you can have a set of comfortable outdoor chairs for less than $100. By the way, my husband took all his initial comments back and will soon buy a second set for our main home.
