If your child needs regular IVs, try to give them as much control as possible. My 12 year old son said the worst part of the entire 4 hour experience was the tourniquet (no needle!). A wide rubber tourniquet used in the hospital compresses and bruises the arm very painfully. This product works, is inexpensive and nurses love it. We have used them for at least our last two infusions and will take them with us every time we return.
