The equivalent of hand floats is not complete proof, so be careful!

For those who need a pet rescue buoy and need it to work 100% life and death... This may not be the best choice. Although it worked well during our use... It has problem areas and if you are concerned your pet could be exposed to water without being able to swim. I recommend buying a life jacket that has no aesthetic factor! One made just for a specific buoyancy function, not a 1/2 floater and suit combination! It's a flotation device, yes! But it is also part of the costume and should be treated as such. This allows the pet to slip through the various openings. or get confused if you're not careful - where a standard lifejacket without a frill suit doesn't have these problems! I'll admit... We put this on a pug puppy who CAN swim but never did for long. So take him on a boat for a day on the lake... And first and foremost for safety - we got him afloat in an emergency and the shark held out - even when we jumped out of the water. the stern of the boat into the water to cool off. the dog was wearing a jacket and that made him jump up and down. (Note: Depending on the build/size of the dog... It can get heavy and carry the dog "upside down or half upside down" when carried in the water. For this fatal flaw, make sure the size is perfect and snug beforehand no use in the water.) We, swimming alongside a puppy, we could see when he would start to "tilt" for lack of a better term, so we could easily adjust the life jacket's position in the water. ** I think you can clearly understand what bothers me... Not swimming next to your pet could lead to a fatal mistake. And I hate when that happens to anyone! The best way to describe permeability. The safest thing is a life jacket - this is not 100% - a buoyancy ring or life jacket - if you can swim that will of course suffice, but it should always be used with someone accompanying you - that's it! The top really helps get a wet dog out of the water and pull it out of the water. In general, it helps a lot when working with water, but you have to be careful how you use it. This is definitely an amazing costume! I hope this helps you in making a decision... Let me know!
