I totally agree with Ronald Lynch's review. I replaced my old Insinkerator Badger (a piece of junk that expired after only 3.5 years) with a new Waste King L-8000. This adapter allowed me to easily attach a new disposal that uses an EZ mount to a 3-bolt roof mount that was already attached to the sink. I think the negative reviews are coming from people who don't understand when this adapter is needed and when it isn't. I'll try to make this clear: if your new disposal uses a 3-bolt mount, you can't use this adapter. If your new disposal uses an EZ mount and you plan to remove the old 3 bolt mount or sink without the old drain, you will not need this adapter as the new disposal should come with a full set of EZ fasteners . old device), this adapter saves you the hassle of removing it and installing new EZ-Mount hardware.
