Review on 🧡 Sew in Style: 18-inch Doll Projects β€’ Boost Your Sewing Expertise by Amber Perez

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The charts are easy to use and the instructions are easy to follow.

patterns are easy to use and instructions are easy to understand for beginners. I would prefer methods that look more "finished" but I'm sure they make the process easier for younger seamstresses so I can ignore it. So far I've only made two different tops and a mini skirt. The real problem I have is that NOTHING I made from this book fits my Pleasant Company American Girl doll. Even after adding 1/4 inch to the center pieces of the back pattern, the entire garment will be too tight to fit the back. Yes, I try to use 1/4" seam allowances. I've read online that Mattel's newer dolls are thinner so maybe this book is for them. I was impressed by this book until I started sewing clothes and realized they didn't fit me, but note that if you have an old Pleasant Company doll, these charts may not work for you, otherwise I would have loved this book.
