This product is easy to hang if you have the right hardware. I bought two sets and put them up. They are sturdy because someone knocked one of the strings of lights off the hook (hence get the right hardware) and they still worked. I do not know what brightness you should expect, but I think they could be brighter. However.it was fine for my needs. It gave my backyard ambiance. The solar panels work for both sets of lights, so I keep one as a backup, and the remote control the lights as expected. They came with two remotes per set and one will control both sets of lights. I love the lights.
