I bought this safe in August. My guess is that the batteries fell out the last time it was closed because the keyboard wasn't working. The keys don't work either. So it's locked with my personal belongings inside. I contacted Revain and they sent me a replacement. Now they want me to send them this locked vault. So I have to open it to get my personal belongings out or pay someone to open it for me just so I can give it back to them. I think they should be able to replace it under a 1 year warranty. But they advise if I don't send it back to them I will be charged for a replacement.
