Review on RCP - D3S8: Ice Blue Metal Stents Base Car Headlight Lamps- HID Replacement Bulbs at 8000K (Pair) by George Halbohm

After seeing a lot of positive reviews on the internet I decided to try these bulbs. Installation was tricky but to be honest it had nothing to do with the bulbs, more to do with my particular car and the many hours it takes to change a headlight bulb. After finally getting everything installed my first impression was that this is a great upgrade over the stock OSRAM bulbs. Color temperature was definitely higher than I wanted, brightness seemed great. I liked the look of my car with them. However, this is where all the wonderful qualities of these lamps end. I installed these lamps from early April to early December. During that time, including many long road trips and late-night commutes to work, I noticed that while these headlights made the car look great, the light output diminished over time. At first I thought it was my imagination, but I soon realized that the cars behind me had their headlights on the road in front of me. The straw that broke the camel's back was that on my way home from work tonight one of the lightbulbs on the driver's side blew out. When I got home and took out the lightbulb, I noticed that it had burned out and there was a dark spot in the center of the lightbulb. I decided to get my OSRAM bulbs that I still had and swap them back out instead of driving with a bulb. As I pulled out another bulb that was still working, I noticed that a dark spot appeared in its center, similar to the one I just pulled out. This bulb also seems to be at the end of its lifespan. After spending a few more hours swapping out the standard bulbs, I was amazed at how much brighter my driveway got after lighting up my old standard bulbs. They may not have been the color I wanted, but they are much brighter than those RCP bulbs. So no HID lamp lasts only seven months and another lamp already fails. , all I can say is that the strain is of poor quality and I cannot recommend it. Initially, these lamps look good and work well. But over time you will see, as I did, that they will slowly dim and burn out much quicker than most other lamps on the market. Yes, they are incredibly cheap. But of course you shouldn't change them all the time because they die so quickly. The seller has not yet responded to my request for assistance and due to the one year warranty I am asking for a full refund. I will only update my review if and when I receive a refund. Don't make the same mistake I did and choose a lightbulb just because it's cheap.
