I bought this for my nephew for his birthday and my daughter in law was very happy with it. It would probably be better for a fall jacket or for layering - I doubt it's thick enough for a winter morning. However, I was expecting that and it has a large hood and looks good. I am happy with my purchase and will consider this brand for potential Christmas gifts.
