I wear size 8-10 pants and the medium fits me very well
I wish the fabric was a bit heavier/stretchy but it's definitely not thin. I have a big belly and many typical swimsuit bottoms are too tight from crotch to thigh to hide that fullness. These shorts give full front coverage and do not have a sloping seat like many boys' shorts.
