They serve their purpose
These doorstops serve their purpose. If you hit them even lightly, they make a piercing noise that wakes me up and warns me of an intruder. However, DO NOT test them by opening the door for them. Once they slammed the door and started walking, they were done. This is my second purchase because 2 others broke while testing and accidentally hit the road. After that, you can never turn them on again. I even tried removing the batteries hoping they would reset, but that didn't happen. So if you use them, I suggest buying another one or two as a backup. You take a 9 volt battery.
