These silicone pads work great. I brought home an old 6 cup Bialetti Moka Express from my uncle's house in Florida. The OEM rubber gasket was removed and fell apart with the first pot I made. These silicone blocks work well. They have a looser fit compared to OEM grommets. They form a form-fitting closure. Tightening the bottom to the top is just as important as it is with the OEM rubber gaskets. On my next trip I will bring home a very old 12 cup block (maybe one of the original 30's/40's blocks) and make the same replacement. Continue.!
